I decided to meditate for 12 minutes, here's what happened:
Start Minute 1: Take deep breath into my belly Think, wow, I’m really gaining back that weight from my cleanse Think, I really need get back to healthy eating Think, I’m wearing black and even though I probably look slim…maybe….
Minute 2: Think, I don’t think I’ll get donuts for the office today, I wonder if they won’t like me Think, I need to exercise Think, but I did exercise playing hoops last night Think, man those guys didn’t pass the ball enough to me last night, I wonder if they don’t like me
Minutes 3-4 Think, I just heard that guys cell phone vibrate and he got a text Think, WHY DOESN’T THAT PERSON NEXT TO ME HAVE HIS SMART PHONE ON DO NOT DISTURB??? Think, OH S**T my phone is on vibrate, what if I get a text? Think, why isn’t anybody texting me…I wonder if they don’t like me Think, I don’t get enough comments on my Facebook posts…I wonder if they don’t like me Think, How can “Perception is reality” and “We need to see things as they are” co-exist? Think, wow, I’m meditating I’m supposed to not be thinking stop that
Minute 5-8: Think, is thinking about not thinking actually thinking?
Minute 8:01 to 8:02: Stopped thinking
Minute 8:02 to 8:04 Think, that was really nice not thinking.,,,wait I’m thinking again
Minute 8:05-8:07 Think, I wonder what my daughter is doing
Minute 8:07-11 Play out the discussion I would have with the first young man who dates my daughter (THOUGHTS REDACTED FROM RECORD TO PROTECT THE INNOCENT)
Minute 11:01 to 11:59 Think, I’m feeling tired, and a little hungry Think, I’m wearing black and probably look slim…maybe…. Think, YES I WILL GET DONUTS Think, everyone will be happy, then they WILL like me!
Minute 11:59 to 12:00 Stop thinking
Bell goes off
Think, wow, I really need to meditate more
