A few weeks ago, I wrote a blog post about an art class that I started. Basically, I'm given tons of different paints, just about any brush that I desire and I'm told to stand in front of a blank canvas and express myself.
It is designed to re-awaken and connect to my intuition. And I can tell you without question, mission accomplished (not in like the disingenuous GW on an aircraft carrier way, but in like a real way!). The process is described eloquently and accurately by Michele Cassou and Stewart Cubley in their book Life, Paint & Passion: Reclaiming the Magic of Spontaneous Expression.
Melissa D'Anotni is still my teacher and will be through my first go at this. (She's moving and getting married as I mentioned a week or so ago.)
I've decided to post pictures of my paintings. I'm happy to share any of the stories with you about them if you email me. And, if enough people email, I may just put the stories here.
The point of me putting them up I guess is not necessarily to solicit feedback (although if you want, feel free....). I'm no prouder of any one than any other. My intention is to live my life fully and honestly expressed, and this is an open look into my soul.
